Welcome to your free online guide to Expat life in Addis Ababa. Whether you’re planning a move to Addis or you’ve been here a while, we hope that you find this website a useful tool in navigating your life here in Addis Ababa.

Via the menu on the left, you will find lots of information divided into relevant sections, including where to eat and drink, workout, shop, see a doctor, and much more. Addis Ababa is not like some other cities where there are specific expat areas, bars, and restaurants. Addis is a huge city and, happily, the best places are frequented by locals and expats alike, which means that there are a lot more places of interest. As you’ll see in the eating section, there are literally hundreds of restaurants that are worth visiting. Click here for a useful Google map of restaurants and bars in Addis.
